61 Landscape Photography Hashtags for Landing New Followers

A landscape with mountains and a blue lake with the sun shining through clouds.

You may have some great landscape photography work under your belt but it can be frustrating not to have much recognition for your work.

Social media is a good place to start showcasing your work and building up a following. You can get a little boost to your followers and have your work seen by more people by strategically using relevant hashtags.

For landscape photographers, building up a following on social media gives you an audience to sell your work to if you want to monetize your photography and bring in an income from your art. Additionally, if you want to get your photography published in magazines and other media that feature landscape photography, the editors will typically look at your social media accounts to see how many followers you have and the engagement on your photos. This is partly shallow social proof, but from the perspective of these editors, it makes sense that they would want to feature photographers that can bring in their own audiences that the publication can market to.

Last Thoughts on Landscape Photography Hashtags

Building a following on social media is tough these days for photographers. It’s much more difficult than when Instagram came out years ago.

However, landscape photography hashtags can help get your photos in front of more people. It helps if you have a strong body of work, obviously.

I wouldn’t recommend overdoing landscape photography hashtags. Only choose the hashtags most relevant to your work and don’t be a spammer. If you use hashtags that aren’t relevant to your landscape photography, you may get more views, but it will be from people not interested in your work.

If you do other genres of photography and would like to promote that as well, take a look at our article The Best Photography Hashtags for Every Genre.
